Hedy Veverka is a leasing specialist for KHL Retail.  Hedy’s experience both on the landlord and retailer side gives her a unique outlook, able to understand the particular needs to both sides of a deal. She has over 20 years of retail real estate experience, including success in both tenant representation and landlord leasing.

Hedy’s experience includes extensive leasing on behalf of successful ground-up developments, including Navy Pier in Chicago, International Plaza in Tampa, Dolphin Mall in Miami and the redevelopment of Great Mall of the Bay Area in Milpitas.  Most recently, Hedy was a Director of Leasing for Starwood Retail Partners responsible for the direction of leasing, budgeting, approach, merchandising and negotiations for her region. She prepared and implemented market strategies to include financial analysis, due diligence, lease negotiations, lease workouts/restructuring and renewals/options.

Previously, Hedy was a Vice President of Leasing for Madison Marquette, responsible for leasing activities throughout the West Coast. Hedy has completed leases with retailers such as Crate and Barrel, Apple, Urban Outfitters, Sephora, Athleta, West Elm and J. Crew, just to name a few.  Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Hedy worked with both Starbucks Coffee and Gymboree handling roll out and expansion plans for these brands. She has also served as a Leasing Executive for The Taubman Companies based in San Francisco.

Hedy is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance and Real Estate. She is a licensed real estate broker in California and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She currently serves on the Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) committee for ICSC.
